tou at 7 p. m. yesterday and docked
in Charlottetown at 10 with thirty-

A GOOD BEGINNING.-A good be-
ginning was made last night in the
evangelistic campaign at the Baptist
Church. The meetings will continue
each night. this week except Satur-
day. Rev.  L. Fash in his sermon
gave the motto for the series, “Sir
We Would See .lesus.". The music
was hearty and inspiring. Miss
Blanch Boyer is the pianist and she
will have entire charge of the music
during the meetings. There will be
special music each night, ‘Miss Boyer
will slug a solo to-night and others
` have been engaged for each night this
week. The meetings have opened
rrost suspiciously.
WEDDING BELLS.-A quiet wed-
ding was solcmnized in the Pro-Ca-
tbedral yesterday morning when Misa
Mary Theresa Doyle became the wife
of Mr. Frederick Piirser, fireman of
the S. S. Nortliiimberlanil. The cere-
mony wns performed by Rev. Dr. G.
J McLellan. The bride was attlred
in a grey travelling suit and wore a.
picture hat suitable for the occasion.
Owing to none of the bride's sisters
being at home, she was attended by
hcr_ sister-in-law, Mrs. W. Doyle,
while the groom was supported by
Mr. Arthur Wood. After the cere-
uiony they drove to the bride's home,
where a sumptuous breakfast was
served by thc bride's mother, Mrs.
M. Hughes. Many beautiful presents

esteem in which the young couple are

WOMF.N'B MEETING.- A very
largely attended meeting of tho resi-
dents of North Wiltshire and vicinity
was held in the Hall on Friday even-
ing. Mr. Edwin Edwards occupied
the chair and Mr. Easter was ap-
pointed Secretory. The speaker of
the evening was Mrs. A. E. Dim-
hreck. who took for her subject “The
importance of the Home in the De-
velopment of n Nation. She spqk-c of
the work that was being done for the
home and for the schools in Ontario
and other provinces through the Wo-
rnen’s Institutes, and suggested that
it would he advisable for the people
of North Wiltshire and the surround-
ing sections to form themselves into
Institutes. An opportunity will be
given and assistance rendered by the
Department of Agriculture and it. can-
not but be ot value in the improve-
ment of home and social life. Some
remarks were made by Mr. William
Clark. who was one of the chief mov-
ers' of the meeting, and was largely
ir-strumental in making it a success.
A hearty voto of thanks was moved
to Mrs. Dunbreck, after which the
meeting adjourned, everyone present
being satisfied that a very pleasant
and profitable evening had becu
spent. Last evening Mrs. Dunhreck
spoke at York. This afternoon at
Marshfield, Wednesday afternoon nt
Union, Thursday afternoon at Brack-
ley. Friday afternoon at East Roy-
nufl Saturday afternoon at. East lloy-<
ult_v. The afternoon meetings will he
