DOYLE 1915.0 -His many friends throughout the Maritime Provinces will learn with deep regret of the sudden death of L. S. Doyle, which oc- curred early Saturday morning. -March 3rd. at his home at 99 Church Street. Moncton. Although -he had been ill for the last two weeks. Mr. Doyle's condition had not been considered serious and news of his unexpected death will come as a distinct shock to his many friends. Born in Summerside. the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pierce Doyle, he received his early education there. He was a graduate of the University of Toronto and for sev- eral years after his graduation -practised as a veterinarian in Prince Edward island. He went to Moncton shortly after his mar- riage and practised there for many years as a veterinarian. About ten years ago he was appointed san- itary inspector for Moncion and the parish of Moncton. and food inspector for Westzmoreiand Coun- ty with the Westmoreland sub dis- trict of the Board of Health. During his many years in Monc- ton. Dr. Doyle through his kindly disposition and thoughtfulness for others won a wide circle of friends and was one who was held in high regard by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife. the former Mary Louise Minvhy of Susnmerside. and one brother. Frank M. Doyle. Main Street. Moncton. There are also several nieces and nephews. including J. Pierce Doyle of the Bank of Com- merce. Halifax. N. S., and former- ly of Moncton. Citizens of many walks of life gathered in St. Bernard's Church on Monday. March 5th. to pay a final tribute to Dr. Doyle. Re- quiem Man was celebrated by Rev. J. E. Butler. pastor of the church. City and Council officials with whom he had been associated for the past ten years were among those in attendance as well as a large number of friends and rela- tives.
