Mr. Telfsr spoke on the suitability of various breeds to various kinds of land and urged upon all those present, the necessity of dipping their sheep and of giving them suitable attention. He invited all who could to attend the Short Course in sheep husbandry to be held in Charlottetown the last week in January nnil stated that he would have a complete outfit for demonstra- tion purposes. Spraying, shearing.. etc, etc. Great interest was taken in this work and Mr. Telfer promised to go down to this part of the country next summer and give 3 demonstra- tion in sheep dipping. Nearly all pre- sent were much in favor of forming an institute and signed the required form. They agreed then that it would be advisable to call a meeting early in February to complete the organiza- tion. The mesting was, on the whole, g verv successful one. The preacher at the' morning service was Rev. George A. Ross, of Fnirvills, St. John, the Rev. Neil McLaughlan, 'of Fredericton, and Rev. J. L. Batty, all well known in Charlottetown. A WEDDING.-A very pleasant event took place on Wednesday night, Dec. 18th, at 7.30 at the home of Duncan and Mrs. Darrah, Marshfield' when their daughter, Edith J., was united into the holy bonds of matri- mony to Horace L. Vessey of York. To the strains of Lohengrin's wed- ding march, played by Miss Hazel McEwen of Mlorell in a very callable manner, the bride, gracefully leaning on her father"s arm, who gave ber away. entered the parlor which was suitably and handsomely decorated for the occasion. The ceremony was performed by Rev. .lohn Hawley. The bride, who was unattended, looked charming, dressed in sublime silk trimmed with silk fringe, and wore a bridal veil, carrying a bouquet of white carnations. After the ceremony hearty congratulations were extended E they repaired to the dining-room where a sumptuous repast was par- taken of, the tables being laden with all that the inner being could desire. After each had done justice to them- selves they retired to the parlor where music, games and social con- versation were indulged in. The bride and groom were the recipients of many useful and costly presents which shows the high esteem and popularity in which they are held. The groom's present to the bride was a gold watch and chain. Towards morning the happy couple drove to their future home in York where their many friends wish them eveI‘Y BHC' cess and it long. happy and prosper- ous wedded life.
