She married Maynard F. ‘ Schurman in 1894. ller.husband- died in June 1911. ~ She was active in P r i n c e * County Hospital and w a s a ; founding member of the Ladicst Aid in 1911. She was the first vice-president of the organiza-I tion and later a president. In ‘ 1956 she donated a substantial sum of money to the construc- tion of the new nurses resi- dence. She was also active in t h e Summerside Church of Christ and the family has been c o n- nected with the church since its opening in Summerside in 1858. i She was a charter member of? the WMS d was active in the’ choir and Sunday school. .
