The Twins finished the season with arecord of 95 wins, 67 losses. The Blue Jays are just behind at 91 wins, and 71 losses. The good news is that is the last few days Oct. 4, 5, and 6 the Blue Jays won 2/3 zames against the Twins. 8oth teams are hungary for the World Series and both jctually deserve this honour. Last year the Twins laced last in their division and merely one year later ney are champions of their division, an incredible jeat. The Blue Jays have overcome many forms of dversity like injuries to team manager Cito Gaston, elly Gruber, Dave Stieb, and Tom Henke. Cito was ajured for a month, while the Jays were fighting off € Tigers and Red Sox and despite the loss of their jam manager, the Blue Jays won their division any- a Po jay. } ‘ 7 he Blue Jays have been here before. Let’s hope this ime they can win the American League Champion- cip. Graduate School Information Day For all students, freshmen through seniors, who may be interested in attending graduate school, there will be a graduate school information day on Friday Octo- ber 18. The meeting will be held in the psychology lounge (basement of memorial) at 1:30 p.m. Information about grad school application procedures, scholarship information, GRE’s, careerchoices in psychology and ‘‘grad school experience’’ willbe shared. Refreshments will also be served. Psychology honours program There will be an information meeting on Friday Octo- ber 25 at 1:30 in the Psychology Lounge. Anyone who is encouraged to attend. The professors will be available to give information on their individual research interests (this will be helpful when you are choosing potential advisors). All your questions will be answered. Psychology Club For all psychology students who want to get a psy- chology club together, there will be a meeting on Wednesday October 23 at 12:30 in the Psych Lounge (basement of memorial). This isa chance for psych students to get to know one another and have some fun. It’s time to create more ofa social atmosphere among students. We welcome anyone taking a psy- chology course.
