Another Violent Attack and Were Again Repnlsed Total oi $i50.000,000 Credit. - l.__l‘ _ _ Yesterday afternoon about two 0'- clock the lifeless body of Mr. Donald Mcisaac, the well-know-n school teal eller of Fairview was found on the 'shore at Rocky Point. , It was first seen by Mr. Horace Mc- Kinnon, who noticed it from the wharf. The body-lay to the east side of the new wharf, about 150 yards from it, and was apparently cast up there on the sands by the tide. Mr. Mclsaac was in Charlottetown on' the previous day and left for home bythe 6.30 p. m. boat. in the evening _he called at Mr. N-‘eil Currie‘s with his daughter. As the family espected him to remain all night they retired leaving him lying on a lounge in -the kitchen. ln the morning he was gone and Mr. Currie thinking that he had gone to his home at Fair- view, a distance of three miles made no enquiries concerning him. The evidence would indicate .that leaving Mr. Currie's deceased wandered to the shore and- as the night was very dark and wet he apparently fell over the pier and was drowned. Deceased was 55 years of age. and had taught., school for many years. He leaves a widow and family of nine, who will' have .the sympathy of the -ommunity in their bereavement. -Dr. Dewar, _Coronor for Queen's County, held an inquest at 5 o’ciock in' the afternoon. Came from Charlottetown to- day on 1.30 host. coming up tho! wharf at Rocky Point I saw an object on the shore which looked like a bo- dy. I went over to the place, a dis- tance of about 150 yards. On reach-‘ ing it I found .the body of a man. I did not recognize him as he was lying on his face. When other men arrived the body was known as that of Donald* Mclsaac. I saw him on Wednesday at 3.3% m., going up the Charlotte- ‘ town arf. I spoke to him. I did not see him again alive. ~ The evidence- of Isabel McDonald was as follows: "I am grand-daughter of Neil Currie. and live with him at Rocky Point. I saw the deceased at 3 p. m... on his way to Charlottetown. I saw him. again at 7 o‘clock when he returned. He stayed at our house last night. Hia daughter and myself left him in the kitchen at 11 o‘clock. I heard to sleep. I did not see him again. H was lying on the sofa when l went t bad." Horace McKinnon, sworn, testified: me to look like a. body. I first drew this object on the shore. 'llhe bod was that of Donald Mclsaac. I ask- i> D body until I notified the Coroner. went to Charlottetown on the 2. p. m. boat and notified the Attorney-Gene ra .’ in Charlottetown and am a deck hand m., to-day I saw an object on th shore to the east of the wharf at Roc- ky Point. it appeared to be a body. I went over to the place and recog- nized the body as that of Donald Mc- lsairc. I saw deceased yesterday evening on the ferryboat. He crossed 'at 6.30 p. ln., from Charlottetown. He had been drinking but was able to take care of himself. He left the boat and walked up the Rocky Point Wiiarf. I did not see him again \ alive.” Neil Currie, sworn, stated: "I am a farmer and reside at Rocky Point. 1 did not see deceased yesterday. He was in my house from the time he crossed on the last boat from Char- lottetown. I did not see him but l hoard him talking. This morning I gone. I supposed he welit home. saw his body _on the shore this even ing. I supposed he _was drinking and l did not go to the room where he was. I did not know what time he left my house. Deceased and myself were always on good terms." Isabel Currie, sworn: "l am wife oi Neil Cllrrio and reside nt Rocky Point. I saw deceased yesterday at 7 p. m., He came to my house on his way homo from Charlottetown. He had been drinking. Had liquor with him and drank some at my house. I saw him at 10 p. m..when I went to bed. in the morning he was gone. The kit- chan window was open. The kitchen door was not locked. When I went to bed I left him with his daughter and my granddaughter.” Michael Murphy. sworn: “I am Captain of S. S. Hillsboro and reside in Charlottetown. I saw deceased yesterday when he went to town and I noticed him when he crossed to Rocky Point at 6.30. He was able to take care of himself. I think he had been drinking I did not see him again alive.” The Jury brought in the following verdict.
