A TERRIBLE thunder and rain storm visited Brockville, Ont., on July 27, about 4 o’clock, p.m. The rain poured down for an hour, ac- companied by large hailstones. Lightning was very vivid, and thunder deafening. Up to the time of writing (10 o'clock) only two cases of being struck by lightning—a child killed instantly, and fearfully wounding a woman named Hutton, who lies in a critical e»ndition.
