The office of the Montague Electric at the east re- ceived only smoke and water dam- age. While the main hose was being hooked up. the firemen, under Fire Chief Murray Johnston. took the chemical into the building. but the fire had gained such headway that they were able to hold it for only e. short time. For three hours the firemen fought the blaze be- fore it was brought under control.
