Joseph O. Green, which left Pictou on the 4th inst. for Summerside, with a cargo of coal, and a deckload. of empty barrels, about one-hundred in number. The gen- eral impression is that she was struck by lightning during the storm of that night, and atonce went down. This opinion is strengthened by the fact that some eighteen empty and unbroken barrels, to- gether with several others that were more or less wrecked, were found on the shore at Crapaud on Tuesday last. Messrs. W. | T. and Pope Green, sons of the Captain, left yesterday morning for Crapaud, to assist in the search being made along the shore. Those on board the _ schooner, besides the Captain, were Mr. John Richard, of Summerside, another French- man whose name we have not learned, and a son of Mr. Charles Reeves, of Freetown, who was taking a tripfor his health. We trust the above rumor is not true, and that the schooner will ere long come into port again. Summerside Exports. SUMMERSIDE, Aug. 12.
