Trinidad, April 27 - (GP) -- Fire caused by two mysterious explosions today swept through a downtown business block, -causing more than 31,000,000 damages in Port of Spainis worst fire in a decade. The blasts came from a building near where three policemen waited in ambush for an expected burg- lary. A cordon of police also had surrounded the business block. The police had set the trap early last night after an employee of one of the firms in the block told of unexplained boxes being deliv- ered to the shop. As police waited in a. jewelry store, the blasts occurred a few doors emay, about 2 A. M. City firemen and others from the United States military base near- by battled the outbreak for more than two hours.
