Speakers apparently blastedl the government for what seemed obvious pleasure with which gov- ernment members received the news of the increased profits made from the sale of liquor. The speakers deplored this at- titude. and voWed that the tax on this luxury should have been given a substantial increase. In reference to the increased gaso- line tax. it was felt that this should never have been done. because the use of gasoline in a large measure is part of the means by which many persons manage to make their living. ____._____________ Frank Steele Dies At 74 The death occurred in the Charlottetown Hospital early Sunday morning after a short illness of Frank Steele. 76 Syd< 11031 Street. aged 74.
