She had been in her usual health until last Sunday when she suffered a slight week turn and had apparently quite recovered when she was suddenly seized with the attack which caused her death within a few moments. Mrs. Compton was one of the older residents of St. Eleanor`s, and was well known both in her own neigh- borhood and throughout thc country. Her surviving sons are Messrs.Alfred, Thomiis and Ernest of St. Eleanor`s, one daughter Miss Alice who has lived with her mother, and Mrs. Croucher of Msssachiiset-t~.
