Mr. Paynter in some way got his feet caught in the brace or the pole which made it impossible for him to help himself. Only for the quick action oi his hired manyFl-ancis Dunning, in backing the team and getting him from beneath the wheel, he would undoubtedly have been killed. Much credit is due to Mr. Dunning for his quick action, Mr. Earnest Dunning of Long River was first on the scene of the accident and immediately rushed the injured man to the Prince County Hospi- tal where the arm was set. His many friends will regret of his serious accident and look forward to his complete recovery. ROGERSON-MACDONALD - A wedding of more than passing inter- est was solemnized at 5t. The bride who was becomingly attired in brown was attended by Miss Mar- cella MacDonald, garbed in green. while Mr. John MacDonald, brother of the bride, capably performed the duties of groomsman. Following the marriage. the happy couple drove to the home of the bride. where a sum- ptuous breakfast was served to a. number of intimate friends and rel- atives. The party then motored to Charlottetown where they spent the day. On their return they were ten- dered a reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rogerson, where upwards oi’ one hundred and seventy guests gathered to do honor to the newly wedded couple, Rev. Father, Rooney of Morell being a- mong the guests. While supper was being served, dancing was indulged in, until the "wee sma" hours of the morning. Excellent music was fur- nished by Messrs.
