Balderston and a large number of ladies. ‘The hall in which the elosing exercises were held is much too small. The children were packed like herring in a box, anda large propor: tion of the visitors had to stand. All who took part in the {fexsmination se me to be satistied that substantial progress bas been made by thisachool. Thechairman, hs Chief-Justice, the Mayer and Rev. Mr Thompson each highly complimented both teachers and pupils. Mr. Macdonald stated that the average of marks was higher than in any previous year.
