BUGS Write Also number oi questions affecting the commercial community with the mem- bers of the local Legislature and also the Federal members. They express- ed themselves as anxlous_€“cTdevelop the railway in every possible way. It is their desire to carry all the freight available, and Mr. Gutelius pointed out that there was no less than 500,000 bushels of oats export- ed, which did not pass over the railway at ali. He did not see why that should be, and if it was merely a matter of freight rate he expressed his intention to so adapt the tarid to make it worth the exporters' while to use the Intercolonial. He hoped in the course of a shorttime to make an announcement which would be ap- preciated by the whole community. It was his opinion that the revenue of the Prince Edward Island Railway could be doubled il it received the support of the shipping interests, He had under consideration the best ways and means of doing so. Mr. John M. Nicholson, lately station- master at Port Hill, has been ap- pointed district lrsighifagentto soli- cit this freight traffic. Mr. J.
