Pressing For Higher Gravel Trucking Rates The truck drivers hauling grav- el for the County Construction Company to the Georgetown road arc planning refusal to haul any more gravel beginning Thursday morning unless trucking rates are raised, it was learned yesterday. E'iRhts cents per yard par for the next ten miles. Six rents per yard per mile for mileage above fifteen miles. The truckmcii want a two boost across the hoard in above rates. Further. the government rate per hour for hauling clay for fill in jobs is 3.2.50. The iruckmen want this rate raised to 33.00 per hour. Two years ago the made a similar request to the Government to have the rates raised. but they were unsuccessful.
