Moreii "Makes It" On First Attempt An outstanding record was Ps- labllsiied in Morell ye.sierda,V morning when 101 donors, reported at the Red Cross Clinic held in Memorial Hall. The objective was more than reached and this wasa great credit to the Committee which organized suchafine Clinic. Members of the Catholic Wom- en's League. the Women's In- stitute and the Canadian Legion share the honors for this and left no stone unturned to insure the reaching of the quota and they met with whole-hearted co-opemt- ion on all sides. Donors came in large numbers from Moi-ell itself as well as from Morell East. and Rear and the following other dis- tricts, Pisquld East. Mount Stew- art, Bristol, Head of Hillsboro, St. Peter's Bay. and Bangor. Doctors and clergyman in this section did much towards the suc- cess of this clinic in addition to what was done by the Morell Com- mftrtee. Members of the Women's in- stitute and the Catholic VVomcn's League provided delicious refresh- ments for the donors as well as helpers invaluable assistance with the setting up and taking down of the clinic equipment. They also transported the donors to and from Morell. storekcepnrs in the nrca assisted greatly by allowing the Committee to post signs in their stores. This was the best result ever achieved for s first clinic in any rural centre in the province. and was all the more remarkable be- cause it was held in the morning when it is usually -difficult for both donor: and worknrs to leave their ordinary occupations to at- tend it clinic or this kind. Un- doubtedly the people of Morcll and vicinity realized the cl:-sperate plight of the Blood 'l'ransfuslon Service and rallied magnificently to its support. Congratulations are rim to all who in any way contributed to- wards making this Clinic the outstanding success it WAS. Card Of Thanks .. 'On behalf of the P. E. I. Red Cross, and personally. I would like to extend sincere thanks to all those who helped to meke stho Montague Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic last night such an oulietandinx success- donors and workers alike all contributed. He also enjoyed John Ml:Mahon's per. formance for the reason that John Epparelltly enjoyed it himself. Mr. Robertson also commemgd favorably on the direction of Kink. ora Convent's "Mickey Does H15 Homework,” and pointed out sec- tions where timing had been used most effectively.
