Several hun- dred chlldren thronged the streets as they watched eagerly for their jovial old friend. Shortly after one o'clock the delighted children set up a chorus of shouts and greet- ings as they espied the float com- ing down Main Street. ,Jolly old Santa singing his Christmas songs. waved and bowed to his yoimg aud- ience as he proceeded up Phillip Street, He circled the block and drove slowly along Main Street where he halted on Myrick's Square in the centre of the village. After dismountiniz from the float he proceeded directly to his decor- ated throne in the square and as- sisted by several of his pixies he distributed over six hundred par- cels to his little friends.
