There were present President Hence Haszard. Secretary E. T. Higgs, and about 40 other members. The minutes of previous meetings ol the Board and Council were read and approved. Letters were read from the Secretary cf the Maritime Board of Trade, the London Chamber of Com- merce and the ToroutoBoard of Trade. Mr. James Patou, the delegate to the Comercial Congress at Philadel- phia, read an elaborate and highly in- teresting report of his mission. There were representatives present at the Congress from 300 boards of trade and from 40 governments. On motion the report was ordered to be iled for refer- ence and the thanks of the Board unani- mously tendered lr. Paton. He thought the Board of Trade a very useful institution.
