H., on Monday afternoon, July ith, when James A McJonis and Francis Baldwin, both aged 26 years and employes of the Odell Paper Co, met their death while in bathing. It appears that the mill was shut down for the said afternoon for repairs and Me~ Invis and Baidwin went out full of spirits as usual to the nearest river to bathe. Baldwin, who could rot swim like his companion, got in beyond his depth and was going dewn., But Mclanis, who was too much of @ hero to think of putting his own | fe in danger, seeiug his peril hasten~ ed quickly to bis assistance, but was caught by his drowniog companion aud dragged down with him. When the bod~ ies were recovered both were clasped in each oiher’s arms, which was a very mournful sihbt for these present. Both were promising young men of good char- acter and their very sudden death is great~ ly mourned by their numerous friends and acquaintananees. McInnis was until quite recently employed by Locke’s bx- press, Charlestown, Mass., where he soon won the high esteem of his employes and fellow workmen, who will learn cf his sudden death with mach sorrow us he was @ young man that was liked by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance, and much sympathy is felt in the community for his sorrowing mother, two brothers and five sisters who are Jeft deeply mourn ing for the sad loss of atrue affectionate son and a loving brother. Both bodies were taken to their former homes at St. Teresa’s, Prince Edward Island, for interment.ggMay their souls re-t in peace. Sleep to day’ oh early fallen, In thy green and narrow bed; Dirges from the pines and cypress Mingle with the tears we shed. At our firesides sad and lonely, Oftentimes our hearts do vearn; At remembrance of the story, How our noble boys got drowned. We shal! meet, but we shall miss them, There will be two vacant chairs; We sball linger to caress them, When we breathe our evening prayer. P. anp M. Loose clothes and downy cusbions bring only a negative sort of comfort to the woman who is suffering with some disease or derangement of the “rgans distinctly femine. Some cloibes and some position make the pain and the discomfort seem less, Perhaps the verves are mostisfiected and this in turn disturbsthe digestion. Nothing will ever comp'etely relieve but aradical cure. The start of so called “female complaints” may be avery slight thing indeed. It may be that in the be- ginning some emall hygienic measures wouid stop the trouble. Certainly at this time a little bit of the right medicine would stop it. When the trouble becomes worse it is harder to cure, but still it can be cured Dr. Pierce’s Favorite Prescription will positively cure any trouble of this charac- ter. It may be absolutely relied upon. It affords lasting relief to a woman » hose natural modesty has kept her from con- eulting @ physician.
