A Vexep Question.—The Hamilton Herald eaye: A correspondent writing over the sigmature of ‘““Scotla.d Yet,” pro- tests against the use of the term “ Eng land.” He proposes that “ Great Britain” er “Britain ” be used. I[t’s an old story, thie. The Herald always uses the term “Great Britain 7” or “ Britain” whens speaking of the pation as & whole. But even that is ectcerrect. The right name is “The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.” If a Scotchman basa right to object to “ England,” am Irishman has equally a right to object to “ Britain.” Att-rail, when ene seex the word “ Eng- land ” it seldom gives the netion of Eng- land in the limited senre ; the notion it ! gives is that of the whele welded group— Englaed, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, .
