The Guardian Thun, July, 24, 1958 Trinity Church '- Has A' W.M.S./Gorden Meeting 1 The Afternoon Auxiliary of the W.M.S. of Trinity United Church held their July-August meeting in the garden of Mrs. G. M. Avard. It was a beautiful day and a large number of mem- bers and guests were present. Miss Mabel Newsome had charge of the devotions and took as her theme “Jesus and the out of doors”. Reports were received from the ALEXANDRA W.I. 'Ilhe July meeting of the Alex- andra W.I. met at the home of Mrs. Wallace and Mrs. Glendon Brehaut. The meeting opened ’with a piano solo by Glenda Bre- ihaut. Roll call was responded to by a household list. There were five members and one visitor present. The minutes of the last meeting .were read and approved. Sick committee reported one get-well card. sent. Correspondence was read and disposed of. It was decided to send remain- secretaries of the departments. and adopted. Three cartons of clothing had been packed and sent overseas. T Mrs. A.T. MacLean reported on the conference Branch meet- ings hold in Sackville. At the close a picnic lunch was served. Mrs. L.W. Saunders and Mrs. W.E. Aitken poured tea and members of the Auxiliary served. ing dues'to Mrs. R.L. Burge for affiliated organizations. It was decided ,not to have an ice- cream‘sociall this year. Alsode- cided to contact Moore and Mc- Leods for cake sale in‘Oictober. It was moved and seconded to discontinue , paint v fund. Treasur- er’s report showed a substantial sum on hand. , ' Next meeting will be held in the school when lunch committee will be Mrs. John McMillan and Mrs. Benjamin Wood. Meeting adjourned and a delicious lunch was served by hostess and com- mittee in change. ‘ KELLY’S CROSS C.W.L. The July meeting of St. Jos- the side chapel on Sunday, July 13th, with 20 members in attend ance. ' , The meeting was opened With prayer by the Rev. Director and was presided over by the presi- dent, Mrs. John Molyneaux. The minutes of the prelious meeting were read and approv- ed. There was no business from these minutes. All correspondence was read and dealt with accord- ingly. The treasurer thengave a very, favorable report. on entertainment and it was de- cided to hold weekly bingo par- ties in the ball. A committee was appointed to organize the s e parties. It was moved and seconded that new soutans and surplices be bought for the altar boys and also that kneeling pews be sup- plied for the altar. The Rev. director asked the C.W.L. to look after the distribution of the Sunday Visitor atter mass on each Sunday. There being no fur- ther business to discuss the meet- ,ing was then adjourned.
