Stavert, Grand Worthy Patriarch ofthe Sons of Temperance. presented at the meeting of the Grand,Division held in St. John last week. Mr. Btavert, who is a. native of Prince Edward Island is doinS excellent work for the tcmperance cause in New Brunswick, as the following paragraphs culled' from the report shows:-In his report he says that during the past year much has been done to advance the temperance cause. ` Less than a year ago a prohlbitory bill for New Brunswick was prepared and presented to the powers that bs., but as yet the request for provincial prohibition has not been granted. In regard to this the temperance people will yet speak, with n. greater force than in any days past.
