Tris mysterious disappearance of a
woman from Amherst Shore is causing
considerable excitement in that vicinity.
For some time past Mrs.Willi'=|m Smith,
who lived with her husband and six
children on the Meera farm, has been
out of her mind and has had to be un-
ceasinglv attended and watched by her
husband and eldest children. On
Thursday night she and her children
were alone in the house. Her eldest
daughter, who is about 18 years of
age, attended to her mother. Sho tried
to keep awake as long as possible,so as
to let her motler get into a sound sleep
before she herself retired. The task was
awakening she found that her mother
han' disappeared 'from the house. The
yen figer children stated that at an early
morning hour their mother came to
them and told them to go to sleep.
With the dawn a diligent search was
made for the missing woman. but she
had 'completely vanished, leaving not a
single trace as to her whereabouts.
Oscar Rlsoli’s mill pond was drained

the mysterious disappearance remained
unsolved, and still remains so. Grave
