Mrs. Heber Mc- Vittie, in the c lr. The annual 3-report was presented, showing 38 paid-up inembers for the ensuing year. It also showed 3163 paid to the school. 3180 to the Public Lib- rary. and 3125 for repairs on the hall piano, as the largest items of expense. . "rho school was redecorated by the Institute in pleasing ' , with donations given for Christ- mas treats and prises. also other items supplied as requested by the teachers. Next year, the school committee is to be taken from the roll call so that all members may have an opportunity to visit the school. The adult sewing class. organized in this Institute, was discussed and plans made for Achievement Day to be held in Crapaud at the end of the course. This Institute also sponsored the Dental Clinic during the year. The 25th anniversary of this In- stitute is to -be celebrated with a dinner in March. The Institute looks forward to another success- ful year. SOUTH GRANVILLE W. I. The Decembe meeting of south Granville Women's Institute was held at the home of Mrs. Peter Morrison on Wednesday evening. December 3rd. Miss Alexandra Keir, president, took charge of the meeting. which opened by singing the women's Institute Carol, followed by Creed. Roll call was responded to by thir- teen members and on'e visitor, at which time the members exchang- ed Christmas gifts. Minutes of the last meeting were read, approved and signed. The financial statement regarding the bazaar held in November showed actual proceeds to be 385.85. Committees gave reports; no re- quisites for school this month, and also no sick. Bills were then on motion paid to Miss Ena Morrison. who procured a new bell for the school, to Mrs. Chappelle for dust- bane bought for school, and to Mrs. S. Corbett for Guardian ad New committees appointed are as follows: School, Mrs. Abbott and Miss Annabel Keir; sick, Miss Alexandra Keir and Mrs. Mclnnis; lunch, to assist hostess, Mrs. Mc- Innis and Miss Annabel Keir. A discussion followed concerning sending a parcel to their Institute and it was decided to send 20 pounds of meat and also for each member to send a personal gift.
