I ISHL Fans Asking Questions Now, on the eve of the begin- ning of the ISHL schedule of games, fans are asking'a lot of questions—such as: How good will the Royals be without An- gie Carroll? Will Buck Whitlock keep on laughing in father time's face or is he nearing the end of the trail? Will such fol- lows as Ron Hughes and Bob Sleigh, plus Doug Tucker. B i ll Smith and Irv Walsh really add up to Eagles, or will they fly somewhat lower than that? Will the Crystal-Evinrude merger bel " much or any stronger than the Crystals or Evinrudes on their own were last year? X Will Alf Flannigan and the | other Island Juniors match I bumps and bruises with grown- 1 up folks like, say -— interme- diate? If you want to get the answer to those questions in the shocks and shake~ups of I thrilling hockey, get down to 1 Civic Stadium or Sports Arena ' or the RCAF rink starting th e . 15th of November. ‘ A Fine Marathon I Glen Hall went 502 games with- out a replacement in the Chicago net, but a pinched nerve in his neck finally made him miss a game. He will sit out the next one. A fine marathon stretch, and in a position which takes so ’ much out of a player’s nervous system, you’d think he’d have pinched nerves in a lot of other places. This boy deserves a lot of credit. Patriot F Curling Column What are the secrets to pick-, lug curlers of a winning rink?
