The Slater Shoe Demonstration at Alley & Co’s. establishment last evening was a great succees. Hundreds of people visited the store during the progress of the demonstration, and several hours were pleasantly passed. Upon a platform io the rear of the store the 820d Battalion Band was placed, and under the direction of Professor Vinnicombe a choice musi programme was discoursed.
