GORDON WEBB There passed peacefully away at the home of his daughter. Mrs. John White, 23 Pleasant Street, Charlottetown, Gordon Webb on June 2. i949. in his fi year. The late Mr. Webb had been in failing health for the past two years. but had been up and around as usual until May 23 when his symptoms became more alarming and he was taken to Charlottetown where he was tenderly nursed by his wife and family. “Gordon" as he was familiarly known was the son o! the late James Webb and Isabelle Dennis of 0'Lea.ry. In early manhood he lived in California, returning to PEI. he farmed for a. few years then took up fox farming while that indus- try was booming. Of late years he followed the carpenter trade. In 1908 he married Lydie Stew- hrt of Vernon River. ‘Three chil- dren were born to them, Carl died in infancy, Ruth (Mrs. John White, Charlottetown), Reginald, Char- lottetown. There are left to mourn a dq- voted wife, one son, Reginald and sons, Bobby White and Reginald Jr» and James Carmen Webb. Also two brothers, Edwin, of Morro Bay. Cal. and Ernest of Cavendish and two sisters. May, Mrs. Wm. MncKendrick, Campbellton, P.E.!., aBclle, Mrs. Wm. Hill, Westport, Conn. both sisters attended the funeral. One brother and three sisters predeceased rn. During his sickness he was isited by the Rev. J. H. MacCallum. The funeral service was largely attended at the MacLean Fun- eral Home. The service was con- ducted by the Rev. J. H. Mac- Cnllum. assisted by the Rev. Carlyle Webster. The ’i'ollowlng hymns were sung: “Til Lord is My Shep- herd" “Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and a solo “Good Night and Good llélorning" by Ivan Bryenton, Brack- y. The pallbearers were: Messrs.
