a - . Lifeand Times of Sir Leonard Tilley. Arrangements have been made with Mr. James Hannay, editor of the Evening Gazette, to write a book on the life and times of Sir Leonard Tilley, Governor of New Brunswick. The volume will be one of the most valuable historical works ever issued in New Brunswick and will cover the political, social and industrial history of the past seventy years. The period is the most important the province has seen. The struggle for responsible government was brought to a successful termination, and the provinces formed into a confederation in that time. The story of these two great events; the personal history of Sir Leonard Tilley; the building of roads and railroads and the general development of the Pro- vince will be the conspicuous features of the book. No one is better equipped with the information necessary for such a work than Mr. Hannay, and in its production he will have the active assistance of Sir Leonard Tilley and other prominent men. The volume will comprise upwards of 500 pages and will be printed with new type, on good paper, and will be well bound. John A. Bowes, St. John, N. B., is the publisher. ae CARD. fHVUANKING my many friends for the liberal patronage heretofore extended to me, I may say I have taken the Shop next to the one now occupied by me, and will be better prepared than ever to attend to the wants of those favoring me with their work. I may further say I have secured the services of Mr. H. D. Wadman, late of Boston, Mass., and with enlarged premises and increased tacilities for carrying on business, hope to receive a continuance of patronage. FParticu- lar attention given to the manufacture and fitting up of Hotel Ranges and Kitchen work. L. W. HARRIS. Referring to the above, I would respectfully ask all my cld friends and customers to patronize Mr. Harris. HENRY D. WADMAN. oct80—dy 6i wky Im pat wate MR. H. L.
