Terese if Trve.—An extraordinary case of cruelty is reported to have taken place in the vicinity ot York Redoubt quite recently. It is etated that the driv- er of a horse and cart pulled the tongue ovt of a burse. The animal became stub born and wovld not haul the load, where- upon the driver hitched a rope about the heree’s tongue and fastened it to an- otber borse and started the animal ahead, with the result that the tongue was torn completely out.—Halifax Chronicle.
