PERLEY FAINTS AGAIN Uaptain Larkins on the Stand, Orrawa, Aug. 1, In the Tarte-McGreevy inquest yesterday Mr. Perley was under examination when he fainted, and it was along while before he recovered consciousness. He is dying of heart disease. Captain Larkins was examined at length as to the dealings of the firm of Larkins, Connolly & Co. He swore be never had any business dealings with Thomas Mce- Greevy, never paid money to Thomas or Langevin, and was never told that money bad been paid. Larkins also swore that he never received the letter which Robert McGreevy swore he sent him, complaining of improper payments, ever heard of Murphy's career till Murphy had been a registered member of the firm for eighteen months, and never borrowed money from Murphy. He is not the sort of s man he would borrow money from. Murphy had obtained his reluctant consent to the firm lending Robert McGreevy $22,000, which he afterwards found was charged to the firm. He agreed to subscriptions for elections. He wasnot often in Quebec, and knew little of the business of the firm, as he had other coutracts. PUBLIC ACCOUNTS ENQUIRY THE GRITS DISAPPOINTED. Orrawa, Aug. 1. In the Public Accounts Committee the Grits are disappointed, not finding some scandals they expected.
