Death Yesterday AI Montague Of Mr. l. H. foffin The sudden death of Luther H. Coffin occurred at his home in Montague at approximately 5.30 last evening. The late Mr. Coffin. who was in his 71st year. was born in Char- lottetown. the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Coffin. In his early childhood he attended West Kent School and later spent two years nt Prince of Walea College He then entered the Merchants Bank of P. E. I. with which he was as- aociated for three years when it was sold out to the Canadian Bank of Commerce. Mr. Coffin contin- ued to serve at this bank at Char- lottetown before being transferred to Montague. about 1911. He retir- ed in 1939 and continued to live in Montague for a number of years before moving to Charlottetown. where he resided during the past several years. He returned to his home in Montague this year. The deceased took an active in- tereat in all civic affairs, which had for their purpose the better- ment of the communltv. He was a faithful member of Trinity Un- ited Church. Montague; a past Noble Grand of Hillside Lodge No. 23, 1.0. 0. F.. and a chartered member of the Montague Curling Club.
