It compares favourably to Operation: Mindcrime (Their best album to date). Although quieter, Prom- ised Lands shines with classic Queensryche power. (5) -- Jason Ross iY Detroit may be better recognized as 0 of the two sisters from Shakespeare’ Sisters. She has changed from duo style for her solo effort, but unfortunately, it is not much better. 1 found Jewel to be extremel boring, traditional, mainstream and ov all not a pleasant experience for the ral sensations. Absolutely nothing Small Ball Paul You In Flames Thirsty Ear Music This album is a pretty decent bout of heavy metal music. It’s good listening if you hunger for some good, loud music. It has some solid tunes, with good instrumentation. Although there may not be anything that jumps up and bites you, this album is a good listen. This album has some of her best works, and all of her works are good so, needless to say, this tape is Ani Difranco Out of Range Righteous Babe Records This is the latest release from Buffalo, New York's finest folk singer. At the young age of 23, Difranco is rapidly gaining popularity clubs and coffee houses. Her lyrics are insightful and realistic, her and her views are strong. & oe With green tinted bangs. and a nose ring, sh twentysomething. a "Buildings and Bridges," the opening cut, is sure to hook you the first time it. They definitely maybe could be good. Unfortunately, like many other London- based semi-alternative bands, they lack origi- the group a wonderful harmony. I really liked this music. Eve has a sort of give-a-damn attitude, but it is presented in. such a mellow style. This is not for the average listener, though. This is definitely the type of music one listens to with a cigarette in one hand and a good drink in the other.
