     ing its, doors to the public of Charlottetown, by the 
     
     late Mr. L. E. Prowse.

     and is now beyond a doubt, the Economy Centre of 
     
     the city. Not many firms have to their credit such a 
     
     record of success, and this success is due to an unfail- 
     
     ing faith, a desire to serve and a clever foresight into 
     
    
   
   
    
     the future—-Qualities which were manifested in the 
     
    
   
   
    
     founder of the house, we trust you will find under the

     ln the loss of the late Mr. L. E. Prowse this firm 
     
     has sustained a very severe blow; it was due to his 
     
     ability and geniality that this firm made such a suc- 
     
     cess of business; and we feel we are honoring his

     Mr. Pierce was associated with us in business 
     
     from 1900 to 1910 and is therefore quite familiar with 
     
     all our business methods, being at one time manager 
     
     of one of our important depts (Men’s Wear) and made 
     
     a success of it; he also made a success of the Char- 
     
     lottetown Selling Agency of which he has been man-
