NO PROBLEM PARKING AT UPEI by Nancy Taylor UPEI has good parking fa- cilities compared to other Cana- dian Universities with over 1200 free parking spaces. But park- ing isn’t a problem free at UPEI while come call it a parking prob- lem, A.J. MacLeod, Chief of Se- curity, refers to it as “a walking problem”. Security usually gives, de- pending on the seriousness of the violation, 1 warning (ticket) be- fore towing a particular offender. One of the worst problems on campus is illegal parking in des- ignated disabled parking spaces. Other problems include parking in reserved areas or areas not specified as parking. Although it is inconvenient to have to park down by the Barn and walk all the way across campus, you take your chances by parking illegally when there are legal parking spaces available.
