If you could reduce sunlight to the _ same candle-power as sn acetylene bumer, you could read under its direct rays without any diiiiculty. _And, naturally, .you would do this with more comfort, and less fallgue to your eyesight, than with any other nown light. ` The more nearly any light resem- bles sunlight-a white light"“*tl're" more nearly perfect it is. Because, it requires four times as much red light to read by, and five and one-half times as much yellow light, as it does white light.
