Hyde. ieitiiliabiine A STRANGE Case~Ata meeting of the Medico-Legal Society in New York tbe other night, @ paper was read on the sub j ct of alteraating personalities end the reader told of a ca-e which bad been in~ vestizated by Prof. James, of Harvard’ and found to be authentic, of a man who went to Norristown, Pa, and engaged in the business of hatter. After being there tbree years, and while at dinner at his hotel one day he sud ieniy woke up He asked where he was, and when told de- clared be knew nothing of Norristown or the name he had borne there. He gave another name, and said his home was in @ Mas-achusetts town near Bostcn. Word was sent to that town, and the man’s re- latives went to Norristown aud fully ident~ tied him. This case was put in the cat~ eyory of auta suggestion, and it was ex~ plained that the man had been accustomed todwell upon the expediency of making some chauge io his business or socia) re- lations. The intensity of his thought in this direction fioally terminated in a crisis of physical experience and a mental re- volution. —-— MARRIED.
