Breathe on Mo the Breath of God and Spirit of God. Descend Upon My Heart with Mrs. Lorne MacEwcn as or- ganist. Scripture reading Mark 10- 13-22 by Mrs. Myers followed by a short address by Rev. W. I. Green alter ivhlch Rev. Geo. Gough led 1n prayer. The president. Fulton Robertson then took charge. Miss Ella Sample. secretary-treasurer was unavoid- ably absent. Mlsa Eunice Racial-ism was appointed secretary-pro tern The minutes of the last convention and the financial statement were read and passed on motion duly seconded and agreed to. The president reported having visited several schools in the dls- trlct. After a lively discussion it was moved by Rev. Geo. Gough and seconded by Rev. W. B. MacPhall that convention be held in the lat- ter part of June in the future. ' The nomlnatlngcommlttee was then appointed as follows: Miss Eunice Rackham, Mrs. Lorne Mac- Ewen and Mrs. George Dunning. and the resolutions committee. Rev. George Gough. Rev. Paul Richard- son and Mrs. J. D. Morrison. The president than called upon Rev. Howard Christie who repre- sented the Maritime Religious Edu- cation Council. Rev. Mr. Christie explained the organization of the Council and told of its aims and work. Roll call of schools was respond- ed to by delegates from the follow- ing l1 schools: Breadalbane Unit- ed. To increase attendance it was sug- gested that mid-week activities such as C.G.I.T., Trail Rangers. etc. help to promote interest in Sunday BchoouThen adding variety lr teaching methods and making the classes really interesting help to make the children want to attend. Ways to make worship more meaningful to children were sug- gested. Have a slm-ple worship centre. Use hymns children under- stand. Havs the different classes responsible for the worship period occasionally and observe special days as Mother's Day, etc. Meeting adjourned at 5.30 for supper. The evening session opened width a discussion led by Rev. Mr. Chris- ue on the importance of present- ing the Challenge of Christian living to the pupils, after which he demonstrated the use of the flanograpli for teaching primary lessons. and emphasized the use of dramatization to create interest and aid learning.
