President's Report The following is the Presi- dent's Report:- It gives me much pleasure to present the annual report of the Ladies Branch of the Charlotte- town Goit Club for the -year 1952. The reports oi! the Conveners of the various Committees will show that the season has been very active and successful. Very lav- ourable weather during the sea- son resulted in a. large number of enthusiastic lady golfers taking advantage of one of the finest courses in the Maritimes. Al- though the number participating in the regular matches was some- times very small the interest was keen and we have several younger players who reduced their handi- caps and who show great prom- is e. The outstanding event of the season was the Maritime Ladies Meet which was held the week at August. The largest num- ber of entries in many years, I think, speaks for itself for the way the lady golfers in the Marl- times regard our splendid links and our Island hospitality. We re- gret that Mrs. William Beer was the only prize winner among the local entries but hope that the ex- perience gained in the competi- tion will prove more profitable for future meets. I should like at this time to express my sincere iented a "going-away” gift to Continued on page 13 v in the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals. of the csmaim Army in use field, vital to the successful team operation of our modern forces. trade such as radio. line or telegraph mechanic; wireless or telegraph operator; and other signal operating and maintenance trades. p e To be eligible you must he 17 to 45 years of age and physically lit. lppiy right away for details for No. 1 Personnel Dopol, Garrison Barracks, Halifax, N.S.
