In his business relations he was kind and generous toward his employees, honest in his dealings with customers and won the respect of all. Ho was a worthy and active member of the First Methodist church in which he was also tor many years a class-leader and trustee. The dredge for the past year has been engaged on a large contract in Buffalo. She was towed through the Welland canal and down through Lake Ontario to the St Lawrence River and thence to Montreal where she was v taken in tow hy tue tug.
