H I swimming And Water Safety ilomniittee Hold Meeting Plans for the summer's Swim- ming and Water Safety Programme were disc at length at a' meeting of the Red Cross swim- ming and Water saiety Committee. Monday afternoon at Red cross' Headquarters. The chairman. Mr. W. K. Sharpe, and all members of the Committee feel that the Red Cross has been most fortunate in securing the ser- vices of Mr. Paul Cudmore to di-I not this programme during thcl eoming summer. 4 Details of the Instructors' school . at Brighton Beach in June were outlined. Good progress is being made with plans for this course which indicate a successful school. : It is hoped that arrangements can be made to send Mr. John Mulially, one of the swimming and water saiety instructors to a Red Cross Maritime Instructors' school which is being held in Woifvilie, Nova scotia, from July 1 to July I inclusive. Red cross swimming and water aaiaty equipment is at , be- ing re-conditioned and will be in readiness ior the opening of the swimming season. In addition a number of drag bars are being purchased as water safety equip- ment. Arrangements have also been made for a meeting of all local swimming and water safety chair- men on Tuesday.
