MacArthur The epitaph was k.lloM'n to the classical nations of antiqwty. and nearly every poet from Chaucer to comparatively recent times, has perpetrated epitaph to the mem- ory of the living and the dead. That some of these epitaphs are queer and highly amusing goes without saying. Here are a few more which have come to my notice recently: RUTH BPRAGUE Died in 1846, aged 8 years, 4 months, 3 days. She was stolen by Dr. Roderick Clow; her body was Hoosick, N.Y., where her mutilated remains were found and deposited here. HPT body was dissected by fiend- ish men.
