Fraser of Vernon, passed away in the Prince Edward Island Hos- pital June 15 following a pmlonK- ed illness. The deceased, a. farmer, was 74 years or age. The late Mr. Fraser was born at Vernon and lived there all his life with the exception of a brief period when, as a young man, he resided in Boston, Mass. For a time in the 1930': he was Secretary of the Riverside race track and later held several race meets on the same track. He is survived by his widow, the former Margaret Landrigan, four daughters: Mary (Mrs. James Weatherbie) of Montreal: Helen (Mrs. James Murphy) of Cherry Valley; Florence (Mrs. George oulton) 0'I..ea.ry; Cora (Mrs. Joseph Sirot) Toronto, and three sons: Joseph of Rockwood, Maine; Leo of St. Peter's Bay. and Al- bert of Charlottetown. The funeral was held on the morning of June 24 at St. Joac- hlm'a Church in Vernon River. Service at the church was con- ducted by Rev. Urban Gillis and at the grave by Rev.
