AT the three week’s special meetings
held recently in the Baptist church at
Westmoreland, Lot 29, nine persons
professed conversion. 'I‘-hey will be
baptized as soon as the ice in the river
breaks up. '
A FEW nights ago some miscreants,so
far unknown,entered the house of Mr.
Geo.. Wallace of Burlington while the
family were asleep and stole a pair of
trewsers belonging to Mr. Wallace.
The trowsers were found next morning
in a neighboring woods-but minus a
sum of money and other articles which
the pockets had contained.
