The annual missionary meeting of the} congregation of Princetown, Malpeque, was heid, according to long established usage i ’ YS 5S Y , on Tuesday, the 13th inst. The Committee managing the Missionary Association met half an hour before the time for public | service, for the purpose of receiving con- | tributions to the funds, which are volun- tarily tendered up to the last moment, and recommendi'rg to the congregation a basis of appropriation. At eleven a. m. Divine Service was conducted, the subject of missions being the topic. At the close of this service, the business part of the pro- ceedings was entered upon, the Rev. Geo. McMillan taking the chair. He _ read a carefully prepared general report, and a summary of receipts and appropria- tions. The Treasurer, Mr. Peter Mc Nuit, read a detailed statement of the contribu- tions. After some consideration of the proposed appropriations, the recommenda- tion of the committee was adopted, and oftice-bearers chosen for the ensuing mis- sionary year. The amonnt appropriated on Missionary day, was $291.00, viz: — Foreign Missions $150.00 Home Missions, proper 25.09 Supplementing Fund 50 00 College Fund - - 41.00 B. & F. Bible Society 25.00 Previously received and appropriated, $163.59. French Evangelization $52.00 Assembly, Synod and Pres’y Fund = 27.50 Aged and Intirm Ministers Fand 10.00 Supplimentary Fund Debt - 19.00 Dayspring & Mission Schools 55.00 Total amount for the year $454.50.
