Mary Anne Hello Everybody! My name is Mary Anne FitzPatrick and I’m eager to be your next Vice President Operations. This is a very impor- tant Student Union position and even if student pol- itics doesn’t interest you, you should still be concerned with who will be your next VPO. This person will co- ordinate the activities of the Panther Lounge, the Cam- pus Police, will work with CIMN, and will work with the sub-organizations as they plan their pubs., Part of your student fees. will, be in the (hopefully). capable.hands of the VPO.as he/she plans the social agenda for the Student Union. I feel that I can serve you well if I am elected next week. As well as past involv- ment as President of Morell High School Student Council VP OPERATIONS Tony Doyle ‘Fitzpatrick 85-86, I am presently’ secre- tary of the Sophomore class executive and have been highly involved with the Stu- dent Union as Chairman of both the Octoberfest ’87 and Winter Carnival ’88 commit- tees. These two events were quite successful and proved that a group of people work- ing together can do almost anything if they set their minds to it and are willing to invest time and hard work. If I am chosen as your new VPO [ll put my all into the job. I would like every- one to know that the basic principle I will be utilizing is one of non-alienation — I will try to ensure that everyone is brought into the act to make 1988-89 the best year at the Barn yet! My door will al- ways be open and I will be asking for input. It is important, however, that you do take the time to vote. One vote may not seem like much, but it helps ensure that as many students as pos- sible are represented. After all, that’s what we’re here to do — represent you — don’t forget that after the elections either. If something both- ers you, or you have some- thing to contribute, that’s your right.
