THE CADRE, was" JAN. 29, 1974 Page 10' BAAARRN As you know the prices of five items went up .05 each at the Barn this week. Here are the reasons for these increases; NO.I An increase in the min- imum wage of .20 per hour and a corresponding raise for the full and part - time staff. NO.II Wholesale food price increases from 5 to 25% si- nce we opened in September. NO.III An increase of 22% in the price of heating oil for the Barn, a portion of which the kitchen pays. So, what we decided was to maintain a noneprofit, break even position was to raise the price of tea, coffee, pop, milk and french fries by .05 and keep the rest of the food and noon special prices the same. We regret having to do this but we have no control over these different increases we receive. 0n the other hand we will continue to serve the same quantity, quality and variety of food to you and welcome any cri- ticism as to how we could better the service to you. After all the Barn is for, run by and goes with the students. . Ted Gamauf Manager, Barn Canteen Be What exactly does How many undergrad the course entail? disciplines feed into the program?
