lnfcréased, but the increase is due rather

individual, the greater luxuriousness that
hae come ln, than ti the increased cost of

statement shows that in the matter of
food supply,while there is but small dii-I‘e'r-
ence in the price of vsiret ibles, poultry
and meats in twenty years past, there has i
been a considerable reduction in the cost
ol flohr, sugar, oil. molasses, corn, toma-
toes, cream tartar, catme il, corn starch
and other articles of table use. -Fruit,
especially of`the`tropical vsrieties,ls much

The cost of living has, undoubtedly in-

veuiences and because the average house-
