Government has established a strong commitment to students. e The Canada Student Loans Program is being improved. The loan limit is being increased from 93,500 to $5,100 per academic year for full-time students, and, from $2,500 to a maximum of $4,000 for part-time students. e Special opportunity grants will be provided to students with disabilities and to certain other students. e Deferred grants will be available to needy students and interest rate relief to low-income borrowers will be expanded. ยข A Learning Incentives program will be introduced. This will reform the BZ education tax credit, and increase child care expense deductions. e A Youth Business Initiative program will provide young people with training, on-going managerial support, and access to start-up loans.
