J. Boudreatilt, skip; Ralph Beck. mate; Doug Coffin. second stone. and Ernie Carver, third stone. The Boudreault team won the right to play in the Regal playdowns by defeating a team skipped by H. lrligginhatham by the scores of 6-10. 12-5. and lTl-l2. .\lr. Boudreault and his team were quite ‘confident that they would give a very good account of themselves. and ex- pressed high hopes of coming home with the trophy. Should such hap- pcn. they will receive every wel- come from the club. On Thursday night the competition of the Clark- son Shield plrrvdowns took place with A. E. Sullivan defeating F. Both teams curl- ed superbly with each acquiring either one or two points so that at. the end of the 8th end. they were tir-d at T-ail. On the 9th end lilac- lntyre laid one on the button. but Sullivan came down to knock it out: to lay one in on the side, after which his second also laid on the inner circle to put him two up. Maclntyre. now out. to win, played clever curling, and was laying one when the skips went down to shoot. Sullivan placed one on the inner circle. Maclntyre missed. Sullivan then placed his second beside the first with about four inches be- twccn the stones, thus laying a perfect set-up for Mncintyre to tic the game. At this point argumen- tation was rlfe in the clubroom as to whers the broom should be plac- ed. On a fast inturn Maclntyre laid down thc stone. Groans came forth from nil as the rock just barely missed one stone and took out the other leaving his stone at the centre but counting only one. Workman in the nearby woods on item-lug the noise made haste to the sccno and found tho car overturned. with the motor still running. The extremely fortunate part of the incident was that Miss Darling escaped with little more than a bad stinking up. The car was towed to a garage in George- town latcr in the oay. It had sus- tained considerable damage. On Thursday night the Town Council held a special meeting at which Mayor P. L. Boudreault pre- sided.
